asa-103: basic cruising

Prerequisite Certifications: ASA-101

Experience Level: “I’ve confidently sailed on my own and am ready for the next challenge!”

ASA 103- Basic Cruising teaches prop walk, fueling, aids to navigation, chart symbols and Rules of the Road. This course is a must-have for sailors looking to take their skills to the next level, and prepare to host friends and family on their own boat for extended periods of time. During the course you will continue to improve your man overboard and sailing skills, while adding docking under power, anchoring, and chart reading. ASA-103 includes Coastal Cruising Made Easy, the ASA-103 textbook. This course is one day on the water followed by one day in the classroom.

Cost: $445 for individuals, $864 for a pair, or $1284 for three people.

ASA 103 & 104 – lake superior

 

ASA 103 and 104 are also offered together as a combination course sailing from Bayfield, Wisconsin on Lake Superior. The perfect four day get-away to obtain both your ASA 103 and ASA 104 certifications at the same time. Includes ASA 103 & 104 textbooks, all breakfasts and lunches, as well as Saturday evening dinner onboard. This is a sleep aboard course.

Cost: $1179 per person.

Pre-boarding available after 7pm the night before the course begins.
